Shun Komiyama

1988年 神奈川県横浜市生まれ。2014年より写真家として活動。「撮影行為」そのものを自身の写真の根幹とし、現実世界における身体的な出来事の結晶として、写真の存在を位置付ける。主としてフィルムカメラを用いて撮影を行うことで、この「行為」としての物理的側面を強調しながら、その現実と向き合うことで独自の視点を残す。
主な個展に「hemoglobin」、「冴えない夜の処方箋」、KYOTO GRAPHIE KG+「なにものでもないものたちの名づけかた」など。また、渋谷PARCO 10F屋上スペースを全面的に使用した大規模インスタレーション展示「風が応える」開催のなど、常に「写真」でありながら、そのアウトプットは多岐にわたる。

Born in 1988 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Started his carrier as a photographer in 2014.

Positioning the act of photographing itself as the core of his practice, he regards the photograph as a crystallization of physical events occurring in the real world. Primarily working with film cameras, he emphasizes the material and physical aspects of this “act,” engaging directly with reality to leave behind a distinct and personal perspective.

Major solo exhibitions include “hemoglobin”, “A Prescription for Dull Nights”, and “How to Name Things That Are Nothing” at KYOTOGRAPHIE KG+. Also exhibited large-scale installation works such as The Wind Responds by occupying the entire rooftop space of Shibuya PARCO (10F). While rooted in photography, his output continually expands across diverse forms.
